About Us
Our Visions & Values
As non-traditional entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds, we need mentors that seek to understand the unique perspectives and the purpose behind our ideals. We are proud people. We value our cultural identities and the way in which we present ourselves to the world. We are committed to the idea of having to shoulder the financial burden of running a company on our own.
We are gritty, resilient and have often been faced with rejection. We support ourselves and often our families too. We dream vividly despite the fact that many forces operating in our society advise us not to. We contend with the idea of how to fit into a space that isn’t necessarily designed for our growth.

Founders' Messages
Sue Ellen Zhang
"As a WOC entrepreneur, I understand many of the barriers that stand in the way of a successful venture. Although each WOC entrepreneurs’ path is different, barriers to financial and emotional support remain elusive. GBB’s unique approach creates a solid business foundation coupled with giving financial support in a way that does create extra stress or burden before a venture has even started. I see GBB as a much-needed path to generational wealth for black families, something that has been missing for decades. I am excited to take part in changing our future for the better."
